# Google Drive

Google Drive is somewhere for assistants to find the files they need and to park their results. They can list and search your files, read them, and, with your approval, save a report or other artifact back.

## Setup (when it opens)

1. In Google's developer console, create access for Drive with the permissions listed below, and copy the access token. Or create a service account and share the folder you want with it.
2. Open [Integrations](https://stellarfirm.ai/app/integrations) and pick **Google Drive**.
3. Paste the token and press **Connect**.

## Permissions

In plain words, the access needs to:

- **Read** file lists and file contents in the folders you choose.
- **Create files**, only if you want assistants to save results to Drive.

If you use a service account, share only the folders you want the assistants to use.

## Good to know

- Saving to Drive waits for your Approve. See [approvals](/docs/ceo/approvals).
- Assistants see only what the access can see. A shared folder is a good boundary.
- Your token stays with your StellarFirm workspace and is never shown back to you. The page shows only that it is connected.
- Reading a document does not change it.
